We invite you to join our church family on Christmas Eve for one or both of our services on Tuesday, December 24th. The Family Service will be held at 7:00pm and feature an interactive telling of the Christmas story which should be fun for "kids" of all ages. The more traditional Candlelight & Communion Service will be held at 11:00pm and is a beautiful way to greet Christmas.
From all of us at First Congregational Church UCC - we wish you a very merry and blessed Christmas!
It is Advent - a time of waiting and preparing for the arrival of Christmas. And here at First Congregational, we are waiting and preparing in a variety of ways. Each Sunday during Advent we will have the traditional lighting of the candles on the Advent wreath along with stories and explanations of symbols commonly used during the Christmas season. The Christmas Tree is decorated with Chrismons created by our youth; can you find them all and know what each one means? Beginning Sunday, December 8th, the Advent prayer/meditation centers will be set up in one of the rooms in the Sunday School wing for those wishing to spend some quiet time before and/or after the worship service. During this season of Advent, we hope you will spend some time reflecting on the reason for the Christmas season.
